Hear ye, Hear ye, Obama does not want this invasion of Libya to have a US face on it! Therefore, it won’t. He has spoken, thy will be done!
Well, perhaps he should have waited until the Arabs actually joined the fight before the fight began! Perhaps he should have asked Congress to stick around, not leave on vacation just yet, and perhaps he should have included them in the decision. Talk about accusations of doing things in an underhanded manner; Democrat/Liberal, heal thyself!
Perhaps he could have set the example by sending Michelle and “our gang” off on their own while he remained behind to deal with the business of our country. I can still hear the cries of the left whenever they perceived Bush to be stepping over the boundaries and assuming too much power or when enjoying a day off, he was photographed playing golf or working on his ranch. I can still hear the cries of the left when he waited before reacting on 9/11, so as not to upset the children he was addressing, waiting while his advisors assessed the situation further. Basically they thought he was fiddling while Rome burned. “They” said he was not smart enough, not up to the tasks of the Presidency.
Yet, how they love this President who waits too long for almost every decision, who can’t make one without polling every constituent, without having all of his hordes of czars weigh in, but who is described as simply multitasking, giving the crisis the attention it needs as he thinks about what to do, in depth, behaving wisely, not rushing where fools often go! Don’t they have any idea about putting things in their order of priority? These leftists are tone deaf today. How do they sleep with themselves at night? Do they all have multiple personalities?
We represent 90% of the battle in Libya, so how can it not have an American face on it? Someone, please stop the spin. Even if the Arabs enter now, with far less assets in the game and without initiating the hostility, how can that face be changed to theirs? Too little, too late, seems to be the motto developing for this administration. Spin is the epitaph of Obama’s term.
It is our expertise and technology leading the way. We are engaged in doing the very thing Bush was excoriated for doing…we are engaging in regime change. This President doesn’t realize that a rose by any other name is still a rose, or more simply put, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. We have put our face on this military action and we can call it whatever else we like, the rest of the world is not so foolish as to be tricked by the semantics. Obama may be able to word play with his constituents who would support him even if he was a frog, but he can’t pull the wool over the eyes of others not blinded by his charisma and charm, which he turns on and off like a water tap in order to achieve his end. His messages change with its purpose and its audience.
As someone once said, you can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. One can only hope that Obama will have his just desserts one day for speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
Every talking head and military commander worth his salt, both sides of the aisle, say that regime change is the ultimate goal of this action, so how does he think he can get away with this spin, around the world? How quickly the liberals change their mind and deny their original positions. Bush must be shaking his head in bewilderment? I know I am. I simply cannot believe that intelligent people are unable tell the difference between a promise and a broken promise, truth and a lie, right and wrong, honesty and dishonesty, transparency and corruption, honorable and dishonorable behavior, no matter what side of the aisle they sit.
